Bathroom Closet Organization Makeover on a BudgetHello Love!

2 young girls + their own bathroom = one HUGE MESS.

Luckily, I found these awesome baskets for organizing their linen closet. Each girlie has their own waste basket, cosmetic caddy, and plenty of extra toilet paper.

Now I won’t be embarrassed when those nosey quests come over and take a peek inside. 👀

If you’re wanting to get your closets all spiffy, you can find these baskets and more at your local TJ Maxx or Marshalls. The prices ranged from $5.99 to $19.00 a basket so it was quite inexpensive to work on this project.

One of my favorite parts of this closet is our new turkish towels from Coco Loom. I originally got them to use as our pool/beach towels for the summer but the girls love the feel of them so much they’ve been using them as their bath towels lately. If you’re in the market for high-quality towels, be sure to check them out here: https://cocoloom.co.

How I Created A Perfectly Organized Master Bedroom Closet

How I Created A Perfectly Organized Master Bedroom Closet 768 1024 Jenn Pennell

Hello Love!
A few years ago, my husband created my DREAM closet for my Christmas present (you can read that post here) and while it’s gone through many changes since then, it’s still my favorite room in the house.
My cousin and I recently decided to do a major purge and start sizing down for a more simplistic wardrobe. Less trendy, more classic. While she’s going for more of a French fashion vibe, I’m heading back to my favorite preppy, classic JCrew style and pulling most of my inspiration from my favorite blogger, Sarah Vickers Patrick aka Classy Girls Wear Pearls.
I’ve never been one to wear super trendy pieces but I am being more conscience about what I bring into this space. Instead of buying cheap shirts from Target that, let’s be honest, don’t last a second season, I’m investing in better pieces that will still look great three+ years down the line.

It took me an entire weekend to purge and organize this space and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. It bring me so much joy to walk into this room every day.
Let me walk you through a few things of how I created this space:
  • First up, I had to un-attach myself to certain things in order to get rid of them. Thinking about how much I paid for something really held me back but I had to overcome that and realize if I wasn’t using it, then I wasn’t enjoying it.
  • I brought every piece of clothing I had into this space. This closet was FULL before but now EVERYTHING is in here. I no longer have tubs of off-season apparel in my attic AND I brought everything from my chest of drawers in my bedroom in there. Now when it’s time to get dressed, everything I need is in here and I’m not going back and forth. I got rid of a lot of school and switched them over to the shelving on the opposite side. This left enough space to add baskets to organize my undergarments, socks, and pajamas. Like I said, my entire wardrobe is now in this room. 🙌🏻
  • Organization is key to keeping this room flowing. Everything has a home and I have to be sure to put it back where it belongs when I’m done with it. I grabbed my gorgeous white Longaberger baskets to keep everything contained but beautiful to look at.
  • If you have room or wall space for a little home decor, add it! I’m currently redoing my home office so I moved my beloved framed shopping bags here and added a cute rug to brighten up the space even more.

How to create a capsule closet

How to create a capsule closet 564 846 chasejcreates@gmail.com
Hello Love!
Many moon ago, like back in September, I went through a complete closet clean-out. I took everything out of each section in my closet and purged, purged, PURGED until anything that didn’t make me happy was in garbage bag headed for Habitat.
AND IT FELT SO FREAKING GOOD.
I filmed the entire project on my Instagram stories and you can WATCH IT ALL HERE so you can see everything step by step.
For a quick little recap, this is what I did:
First thing was cleaning my closet. It had gotten COMPLETELY out of control so I spent my first day putting everything in it’s place. I then started with the season I was coming out of, which was summer at that time, and tossed every shirt, short, and skirt that I hadn’t worn that year. Pants and handbags came next, followed by the shelving down the middle. Shoes took a day all on their own. #facepalm. The last section I went through was fall/winter clothes, followed by jewelry.
Finished look!
Man, even though it took a few days, it was 103% worth it!
There aren’t too many things I love more than a clean closet.

How to organize your laundry room

How to organize your laundry room 564 752 chasejcreates@gmail.com
 Hello Love!
Happy Saturday! I’m so excited to show you my newly renovated/organized laundry room! If you’ve followed me for a while you know that over the winter we painted our entire house white on the inside. We’d had multiple colors throughout the house and after 9 years we knew it was time for a fresh update. Almost every room got a little facelift, not just the new wall color, but new decor and arrangement. It was chaos but SO worth it!
I’m slowly showcasing the rooms off here on the blog and in case you missed it, here’s my 9 year old’s updated room, my updated pantry, and bathroom cabinet organization. My kitchen and living room updates will be coming to the blog soon.
Alright, back to the laundry room.
After cleaning out my pantry last week I decided it was time to give the laundry room the much needed cleaning it deserved. I’m usually REALLY GOOD at keeping it in good shape but it just needed straightening up and rearranged a bit. I went around the house and grabbed more baskets to make the cabinets inside look beautiful and hide all the mess. I love having everything in the baskets because it just looks so neat and tidy. Don’t you think?
In these baskets I’ve stored all my steam mop towel heads, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, vacuum pieces, lint brushes, and other laundry items.
I have to admit. The toilet paper stacked beautifully in the baskets is my absolute favorite part. The baskets on the middle shelves hold all my stiffer refills, sewing notions, and our emergency candles. The top shelves hold my extra iron, steamer, and extra wool dryer balls.
We installed 5 hooks so everyone has a place to hang jackets, backpacks, and whatever else so it stays out of the kitchen. Jason also built this shoe rack that has bins for the kids to keep their dance/baseball gear, bathing suits, belts, and whatnots with their shoes in the bottom rack.
If you’d like to shop these baskets, I’ve linked them here, but be aware, most of these are no longer in production so I’m tagging eBay items, which could sell out. If you’re looking for a particular basket just let me know and I can help track one down for you!

If used baskets aren’t your thing, you can shop brand new Longaberger baskets on my website HERE!

How I organized my pantry with baskets

How I organized my pantry with baskets 600 900 chasejcreates@gmail.com

Hello Love!
After watching my cousin, Angela Lanter, organize her beautiful pantry a few weeks ago I knew I needed to take time to get my own done. I decided that instead of using acrylic pieces to keep everything organized, I’d save some money and use what I had, my Longaberger baskets.
I started off by going around the house and grabbing all the baskets I knew would hold boxes and cans really well, took everything out, cleaned the shelves, and got to work. I kept all the kid’s food on the bottom shelves (so I wouldn’t be called in 198 times a day to grab something for them) and side dish ingredients on the top. I moved our recycling bags out to the garage to make room in the bottom in order to store the cat’s food and our 20,000 bags of chips.
By the way…I was AMAZED how much expired food I had in there. I thought I was good about keeping up with those things but apparently not.
Now everything is neat and tidy.
Has it stayed this way? Surprisingly, YES! Now, my kids are a little older but they’ve been good about putting everything back where it goes.
I would love to eventually customize this closet and get wider shelving in here, but for now, this will do.
One more thing, these baskets do take up quite a bit of room, which means I can’t get as much in here. What it has done though is make me cautious about what I’m buying and I’m not just buying a bunch of stuff that I really don’t need. My budget has liked that quite a bit!
What do you think? Do you like how it turned out?

Organizing your bathroom cabinets

Organizing your bathroom cabinets 150 150 chasejcreates@gmail.com
Hello love!
Well, who else has been cleaning their little hearts out since we’ve had all this time at home?
I certainly have.
My bathroom cabinets are ALWAYS a mess so I took a little time to get everything all organized. I used divider trays and Longaberger baskets to keep sections looking neat and everything easy to find.
I also went through and made sure to throw anything away I hadn’t use in a year or that had been open for more than 12 months.
All in all, it took me about an hour to do and I am so happy with how nice it looks now.
Let’s just hope I can keep it this way. 😉

5 tips and tricks to keep your car clean everyday!

5 tips and tricks to keep your car clean everyday! 150 150 chasejcreates@gmail.com
I was the worlds WORST about keeping my car clean so a few months ago my husband bought me a monthly pass to our local car wash and it’s seriously one of the best things he’s ever done for me. For $20 a month I can take my car through the wash every day and we’ve been so much better about keeping it in tip-top shape. Here’s 5 tips and tricks we use to keep our car clean and spiffy!
1. Grab a monthly membership at your local wash!
We don’t use it every single day but we try to go at least three times a week to clean off the dirt and get rid of any trash that’s been collected over a few days. We always go after school so each kid can take a task and we can get it cleaned within 5 minutes. This also means that mom and dad aren’t the ones cleaning up after the kiddos and all their messes.
We use our Thieves wipes once a week to clean up any beverage spills, fingerprints, and dirt on hard surfaces. We each grab a wipe and clean our own sides.
This trick is my FAVORITE! After yellow pollen COVERED my car the first few weeks of Spring, I ran to the store and picked up a box of swiffers to keep in the car. I pretty much dust my dashboard daily as I’m sitting in the school car line.
Our sweet little car wash gifted us a few microfiber towels at Christmas time and I keep them in my glovebox to keep my windows clean. They help keep that inside film off the windows so they’re great to keep handy.
I know you’re thinking why would i keep this in my car? Well, the handy dandy vacuums that the car washes have just are unable to grab every piece to junk that gets caught in the car’s carpet so we use this scrubbing brush to help loosen anything that might get stuck for the vacuum to pick up!
And that’s it! My 5 simple tips and tricks to keep this momma of 3 sane and her car clutter-free!
If you’ve got a tip I need to try, feel free to leave it in the comments below!

 Hello Love!

Can I just start this post by saying I have the absolute BEST husband ever?!
It’s true!
A few weeks ago he asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I told him to “surprise me!”
He replied, “How about a new closet?”

Friends, Welcome to Dreamland…

What was once a closet with a few wire shelves is now a closet masterpiece,
made by hand by my Hotness!
Isn’t it simply heavenly?!
