DIY Plate Chargers.
Hello Love!
Today I want to share with you a simple craft that I made this week that made my dining table look great AND saved my bank account a lot of money!
If you’re like me, you’ve been drooling over all the beautiful farmhouse tablescapes that have these beautiful greenery wreath chargers under their dishes. I fell in love the first time I saw them but about DIED when I saw the price tags. Whew! Everyone I found was on the pricey side and I couldn’t justify paying that much for 6-8 table settings. After a bit of research, I went to the craft store and Amazon and found the pieces I needed to make my own.
I started off by buying THESE BAGS OF GREENERY from Amazon. I needed to make 6 sets so I bought two bags of 60 pcs each, 120 in all. Next, I went to my local craft store and purchased 10-inch wire floral wreaths. All in all, this project cost me about $50. The ones from Pottery Barn that everyone loves? They’re $59 for 4 chargers.
I wanted this project to be super easy and quick, because let’s face it, who has time to do much of anything anymore, right?
To assemble, just work the greenery stem in between the wire lines of the wreath. Some are a bit tough to get through so use wire pliers if you need help getting them to fit. I also plan to hot glue these all into place so they don’t shift around when moved.
All in all, I couldn’t be happier with how these turned out. I love the fun bit of green and texture it adds to my tablescape for the Holiday season.
