The best part about Beddy’s zipper bedding is that it all zips apart. You don’t have to worry about the size being too large for your washer and dryer because the top blanket zips right off the bottom sheet/mattress cover. This makes it easy to wash both pieces separately.
Drying your Beddy’s in your dryer is just as effortless. Just do each piece separately and you’re good to go.
The reason I wanted to write this little blog post is to share a drying hack with you. If you’re like me, when you hear something clinking and clanging in your dryer, it kinda drives you crazy…well, it does me anyway. Since the bedding is dried separately, the zipper is free to move around as it cycles which means it beats along the sides of the drum as it goes around and around causing a bunch of noise.
My fun little hack to make the sound stop is to take a small piece of fabric or a small sock, as I used, and rubber band it around the zipper. Get the rubber band nice and snug so the fabric or sock doesn’t slide off and WHAM, you’re good to go! No more metal-on-metal sounds coming from your dryer.
