Learning to Needlepoint

Learning to needlepoint with NeedlePaint. Thanks to Needlepaint for sponsoring today’s post!

Hello Love!

2020 was the year we all stayed home. We all stayed home and watched TV, didn’t get out of our jammies and picked up new hobbies, right? Did you pick up a new hobby over the past year? While my family wishes I would have picked up more cooking skills, needlepointing is what stole my heart. It started popping up in my Instagram feed and with every fun design I saw, I knew I wanted to get my hands on a canvas and start punching.

Since I love Boston so much, I decided to start my needlepoint journey with this needlepoint belt from Needlepaint. I reached out to them with a few beginner questions and they were incredibly supportive and helped me get exactly what I needed. In my kit they sent me the printed canvas, threads, stitch guide and a printed color aide for guidance.
I’m so thankful they sent paperwork so I could see exactly how to do the stitches. While there’s many fun ones to try, this belt just requires a simple continental or tent stitch. Perfect for newbies like me.
Once I get the hang of it, I’ll be back to show you more!
