DIY Young Living Bar Soap Tutorial #TutorialTuesday

Hello Love!
For today's #TutorialTuesday we're whipping up some DIY soaps using Young Living oils.
My IG friend @tiffany_maurie made these a few weeks ago on her page and I knew I had to try them. If you're a YL bar soap lover like I am, you know it's not easy paying $10+ a bar.
Yeah, I know.
When Tiffany said she made 8+ bars for less than $17 using this method I knew I had to try it. I got the soap box kit which includes the wooden box, silicone mold, and soap slicers for less than $14 and the 2 soap base blocks for only $16, which is what you'll need to replace every time you make it.
I purchased the shea butter blocks and they worked great. They do contain palm oil though (which I've heard some controversy over) so I hope to find other brand for my next batch.
I added 5 drops of each essential oil to each batch + 1 tablespoon of coffee grounds as an exfoliant.

To make:
1. Cut soap blocks into cubes (I cubed and melted one soap block at a time)
2. Microwave 30 seconds on high
3. Stir and repeat until completely melted and smooth
4. Add 3-5 of each essential oils + any exfoliants
5. Stir until well combined
6. Pour into mold
7. Repeat steps 1-6 for 2nd soap block
8. Allow to harden at room temperature
9. Freeze for 10 minutes
10. Invert mold and push out soap bar
11. Slice into desired size bars with slicer
12. Use your Thieves Household Cleaner to clean up your mess
It took me about 20 minutes total prep time and 100% worth the tiny bit of mess. The soap feels great and I love the look of the coffee grounds on the bottom of the soap.
When this runs out I'll be making a fun fall scented bars with oatmeal as my exfoliant.
