5 tips and tricks to keep your car clean everyday!
May 21, 2019
I was the worlds WORST about keeping my car clean so a few months ago my husband bought me a monthly pass to our local car wash and it’s seriously one of the best things he’s ever done for me. For $20 a month I can take my car through the wash every day and we’ve been so much better about keeping it in tip-top shape. Here’s 5 tips and tricks we use to keep our car clean and spiffy!
1. Grab a monthly membership at your local wash!
We don’t use it every single day but we try to go at least three times a week to clean off the dirt and get rid of any trash that’s been collected over a few days. We always go after school so each kid can take a task and we can get it cleaned within 5 minutes. This also means that mom and dad aren’t the ones cleaning up after the kiddos and all their messes.
This trick is my FAVORITE! After yellow pollen COVERED my car the first few weeks of Spring, I ran to the store and picked up a box of swiffers to keep in the car. I pretty much dust my dashboard daily as I’m sitting in the school car line.
Our sweet little car wash gifted us a few microfiber towels at Christmas time and I keep them in my glovebox to keep my windows clean. They help keep that inside film off the windows so they’re great to keep handy.
I know you’re thinking why would i keep this in my car? Well, the handy dandy vacuums that the car washes have just are unable to grab every piece to junk that gets caught in the car’s carpet so we use this scrubbing brush to help loosen anything that might get stuck for the vacuum to pick up!
And that’s it! My 5 simple tips and tricks to keep this momma of 3 sane and her car clutter-free!
If you’ve got a tip I need to try, feel free to leave it in the comments below!
These are all great tips! I need to do a better job of staying on top of cleaning my car.
My partner and I are super lazy with our car since we're hardly ever in it, as we live so close to our workplaces. So, it gets super messy and dusty, but it doesn't always seem worth the effort to clean it. I think keeping wipes in the car would be a huge help to clean up any dust/lint/crumbs that always seem to accumulate!
I’m so bad about keeping our car clean too – it gets pretty messy. Luckily we have a car washing station in our condo building!
This is right up my alley… My car looks like the Staten Island dump… Especially after my kids are in it LOL
My car is usually a mess. I love the idea of quick cleanups while waiting in the school line!
I don't have a car because I don't need one in Japan as transportation is very convenient here. However, I send these awesome tips and worthwhile ones to my friends and family members who them.
Need to use the swiffer in the car. I use them at home.
