Every summer we travel down to Daytona Beach for relaxation, sight-seeing adventures, and face stuffings of delicious seafood.
We love our hotel that we stay at every year, but the beach can get a little crowded with lots of people and cars. On days we need a little more of a relax atmosphere, we travel down to our favorite beach at Ponce Inlet. Our favorite restaurant, Down the Hatch, is located there too!
They have a few spots down South Atlantic Avenue that you can park and walk to the beach, but this year we discovered Lighthouse Point Park. It’s at the southern tip of Ponce and it was amazing. There was a long pier to walk out on, a beautiful view of the Ponce Inlet lighthouse, and seashells galore! With a fee of $10 to get in, it keeps it less crowded, which makes it very family friendly!
