Hello Love!
So, I'm not really sure how I found Tashmopolitan Couture on Etsy, but oh, my, I'm so glad I did.
This dress.
I wore it last year to my cousin Amy's wedding and it was a shop stopper!  I received a ton of compliments on it!

Recognize that beautiful face?

Hello Love!
I found this perfect Lilly Pulitzer dress a few weeks ago on eBay (for only $20) and ILOVEIT!
I wore it a few weeks ago, which happened to be the same day my new mustard Tieks came in and they looked SO adorable together that I had to wear it for a post.  I've always been a lover of shirt dresses and I'm so glad I found this one.

I hope you're all having a FABULOUS week!
Even with fall lingering around the corner and my boots calling to be worn, I can't even think about sweaters and scarves, especially with a heat index of over 105 through the weekend!  I want to live in my summer dresses F O R E V E R!
My sweet friend Shannon over at Collyn Raye sent me this AMAZING dress and oooohhhh maaaan!  Her Etsy shop is so amazing with her Derby Skirts and men's bow ties!
Ladies, this dress is amazing.  I absolutely LOVE this pattern she picked for me AND IT HAS POCKETS! There's nothing better than a dress that fits like a glove and has pockets!  Nothing!

Thanks so much Shannon for gifting this beautiful dress!

LuLaRoe: Helping women love their bodies, one dress at a time.

 Hello Love!
It seems like it's been F O R E V E R since I've done a fashion post! My summer break is almost over and honestly I haven't even been putting on my makeup lately.  I've been such a homeboy, soaking up every.single.second of laziness that I can.
My sweet friend Ashley recently become a LuLaRoe consultant and when she posted this dress in her Facebook live video the other night, I had to have it.
Now, I know I'm on the thinner side, but there's just something about a skin tight dress that makes me want to break out in hives.  I prefer an A-line dress with a flare skirt, but this pattern was so amazing and with LuLaRoe, you never know if your consultant will get in again her next shipment.  I could have let it pass by and then been SICK over it, like I do with so many other pieces of goodness that I don't buy.  I am soooooo bad at that.
But seriously, isn't this print AMAZING!  I cannot get over all the different prints this company has to offer. From pineapples to fireworks, hot peppers to cassette tapes, it's just amazing. Fun pieces to wear alone or wearing the different prints together. The options are endless and if you don't believe me, just check out their Instagram page.
I die.
Anyways, this is just one piece of many that I will have in my LuLaRoe collection.  I've GOT to have a couple Amelias and Randy tees!

If you're interested in purchasing LuLaRoe and becoming a part of Ashley's online group, you can follow her on her IG page and Facebook page.

Fiesta Dinnerware: a southern table staple!

Tuesday, July 12, 2016

Hello Love!
When Jason and I got engaged I decided to register for beautiful cream “French Countryside” Mikasa plates for our home (seen here in this post). Now, while I don’t regret that decision because they can be used 24/7 and work for every holiday & season, I wish that I would have went ahead and registered for Fiesta dishware as well.  I’ve been in love with them ever since my Mawmaw bought a spread of colors many years ago.  I used to LOVE drinking coffee out of the coffee cups with her, never knowing what color she would choose for me.
I finally bit the bullet and started a collection of my own. From turquoise (my fav), to pink and yellow, they are SO incredibly fun to collect.  I’ve got one more place setting to buy to have my 10, and then I can start buying the other odd pieces like a pitcher and larger bowls & plates. Which color should I get?!  It's such a tough decision! Ivory? Claret?
Fiesta ware can be bought in a lot of major stores like Bed, Bath, & BeyondMacy’s (50% off right now!), and Kohl's

Dishes // Fiesta (find them herehere, and here)
Cake Stands // Hobby Lobby
Pyrex bowls // Target
Mason jars // Walmart & Target
Brown napkins // Target
Floral dish towels // Cynthia Rowley (TJ Maxx)
Mason jar towel // Found at an antique store

This post is not sponsored by HLC dinnerware.  All opinions are my own because I love Fiesta Dinnerware so much!

Shaw Avenue's 5 beach essentials

Hello Love!
Isn't coming home from the beach completely depressing?
The salty air, the cool ocean breeze, and the sounds of crashing waves just soothe my soul and I try to soak up every glorious minute of it while we're there.
We go to Daytona Beach, FL every year and we love it.
We have secret little beaches were we go to avoid the crowds, favorite seafood restaurants where we stuff our faces full, and a hotel that we completely adore.

Alright, let's get down to business.
Now that my kiddos are older, we no longer have to drag all kinds of sand toys and crap down to the beach. Now, I can pack my own goodies to just sit there and soak up the goodness.
1.) A good tote bag.  I scored that amazing Spartina449 Mermazing tote while I was down in Daytona at a cute little gift shop. It's made of vinyl so it was super easy to clean the sand out of everyday and had a separate pouch to hold my keys and phone to keep them sand-free.  It's almost sold out too! Find it here and here!  We also carry mesh seashell bags (like these) to carry all our treasures in!
2.)  I forgot my trusty Tervis at home so we picked up this adorable Florida Starbucks tumbler while shopping the Boardwalk. Y'all know i'm a sucker for flamingos...
3.) I also forgot my trusty Chaco flip flops to wear down in the sand so I had to take my pineapple Lilly Pulitzer sandals down with me.  I was afraid they would be ruined after wearing them all week, but they've held up perfectly...I still won't take that chance again.  Don't forget to pack some good waterproof flops!
4.) A beautiful beach towel.  I scored this lovely one from BuckheadBetties and I LOVE the fabric it's made of.  And those colors? SWOON!
5.) The perfect beach cover-up.  I originally bought one of those terry cloth, zip-up moo moo things but then thought, no! Just throw on a Lilly! Duh!
6.) A good book...well, this is a no brainer.

Of course, there are many other things i could tote down to the sandy beach with me but with three kiddos following along, it's enough to get us through!
What can't you live without?

Ponce Inlet, our favorite Florida beach

Thursday, July 7, 2016

Hello Love!
Every summer we travel down to Daytona Beach for relaxation, sight-seeing adventures, and face stuffings of delicious seafood.
We love our hotel that we stay at every year, but the beach can get a little crowded with lots of people and cars. On days we need a little more of a relax atmosphere, we travel down to our favorite beach at Ponce Inlet. Our favorite restaurant, Down the Hatch, is located there too!
They have a few spots down South Atlantic Avenue that you can park and walk to the beach, but this year we discovered Lighthouse Point Park.  It's at the southern tip of Ponce and it was amazing.  There was a long pier to walk out on, a beautiful view of the Ponce Inlet lighthouse, and seashells galore!  With a fee of $10 to get in, it keeps it less crowded, which makes it very family friendly!
And it's pet friendly for all you dog lovers!
