They call me Mom

Thursday, March 31, 2016

Dear friends,
I wonder which is easier,
wrangling cattle or getting three children to sit down for a few pictures?
I'm sure it's a close tie.
They sure do look stinkin' sweet though, don't they?
For this shoot I knew I had to have these sweet babies in it with me and they look simply precious!
This is my favorite shirt I received from the adorable company, Ruby's Rubbish, and I know all you Mommas will love it too!

Banana leafs + mustard totes

Hello Love!
Well, Spring Break is officially over and I am sad.
Luckily, there's only about 9 weeks of school left and I cannot wait for summer break!
Thinking of laying by the pool, going to the beach, and being at home with my family will hopefully keep me motivated for the next few months.
This week I've teamed up with Urban Expressions to feature some of their fantastic bags.
First up, the Weekend tote.
It comes in 5 gorgeous colors and I couldn't pass up this mustard and gray one.
It has a detachable pouch inside to keep all your goodies in place and it's reversible!
What do I love most?
My laptop, purse, and camera all fit in here so nicely!

Thanks so much Urban Expressions for sponsoring this post!

Pants // KanCan (TJMaxx)

Shaw Avenue's favorite shoes: Tieks!

 Hello Love!
Today I'm talking about my FAVORITE shoes: Tieks!

It all started about a year ago when my dear friend and co-worker, Jamie, asked me if I had ever heard of these fabulous shoes. I had seen them on Instagram and instantly fell in love with those beautiful blue bottoms.  They instantly catch your eye and add that perfect pop of color in a surprising place!  The obsession continued and I am now on my 6th pair! From classic black matte, leopard, clover green,  fuchsia, and metallic gold to now my newest color, mustard yellow, I just can't get enough! The leopard are my all time favorite shoes ever.  If I was forced to get rid of all shoes but one pair, I would keep them over all the other!
They're simply my favorite!
Their customer service & return policy is amazing, their packaging is amazing, their website is amazing, and they love to repost there customers pictures! I'm on there a few times!
Next on my to-buy list? The Tiek blue!
Which color are your favorite?

Yes, it's me...

Let's take a second and talk about one of my new favorite outfits for a minute.
This adorable JCrew skirt got lost in the back of my closet over the winter and finally saw the light of day today. I paired it up with this Gap striped oxford I found at Goodwill a few weeks ago and my go-to ballet flats from Tieks.
Shirt // GAP
Skirt // JCrew Factory
Ballet flats // Metallic Gold Tieks
I.  LOVE.  IT.

Thanks Steph for this precious necklace!
Here's a few more of her necklaces she's got in the shop.  I mean, I'm pretty much dying over that white tusk one with the pink beads.  She had it modeled with a teal dress, SWOON!  It's definitely on my must-have list!

Neutrals + Scout Bags

Hello Love!
It feels like it's been a while...has it been a while?  Sometimes life just gets a little ahead of us and we faaaalllll behiiiiinndd with things and I hate that, don't you?
I think the weather has a lot to do with it.  The constant roller coaster of warm and cold just screws with us.  We've had days close to 70 and then two days later it doesn't even reach 40.
We had a few gorgeous days this past weekend and I took full advantage of it. Taking pictures is so much easier when it's warm.
Ok, enough griping...let's get to the clothes.
Neutrals are always a staple and I tend to be drawn towards them when I'm buying new pieces.  They're so versatile and can match almost anything in your wardrobe.
Let's talk about this bag for a second, shall we?
Scout bags were first brought to my attention when I visited AmericasMart a few years ago for my store.  They were always so amazing and I really don't know why I never carried them.  They can all be monogrammed and the design selections are fantastic! When it came to picking a fabric, I went with a more neutral color palate so it would match most of my work attire.  This bag is the Club Upper and it fits my laptop (in it's case) and my big camera, along with a lot of other goodies.
I've been carrying it to work everyday and I love it!
A big thanks to my friends over at Scout for gifting this bag for my post!
