Hello there new beautiful phone case!

Hello there new beautiful phone case! 150 150 Jenn Pennell

Oh that Verizon. They’re quite clever folk, aren’t they?  I was SO PSYCHED when I got an email from them last March offering me A FREE IPHONE 5C. Even after paying the $30 upgrade fee, I was so excited to be getting a new phone.  Then I went to find a case for the phone.
Impossible.
Well, impossible to find a cute one that would withstand the tornados that are my kids…and myself  🙂
I had simple and plain ones until I found this AAHHHHHHmazing case from Suite7Seven. I found them through their instagram page and I had the hardest time picking out which one to get! I went with the classic black & white ANDILOVEIT!

Yeah, I think you need one of these! I promise you you’ll want one after seeing all her fabulous styles!

Thanks so much Seven7Seven for gifting this amazing case!!

Fall is coming!

Fall is coming! 150 150 Jenn Pennell
While the kiddos were at Sunday schools yesterday, my mom and I ran over for a quick trip to
TJ Maxx.  I found some great things with yellow clearance tags and this AMAZING khaki jacket in the juniors dept.  It was the only one I could find and even though it was a medium, I had to have it! It was only $19.99!
Todays forecast called for gloomy rainy skies, which means it would feel even colder in my office 🙂 Is your workplace always cold in the summer?
I love mixing patterns, so I was quite the hodgepodge today in my jailbird striped shirt and
 leopard belt. FAV!

Today we celebrated my Hotness’ birthday.  34 sure does look mighty fine on you!

School is here and only 1 of my 3 kiddos is ready to go back.
Two start this Friday and the little one starts her 1st day of Kindergarten on Tuesday.
You all know that I’m a Scout for the group Savvy Sassy Moms and they sent us a box of back-to-school goodies to try out and review for you!
We received Plum Organics sent us some fabulous goodies called “Mash ups” organic purees and “Jammy Sammy” snack bars.  The kiddos LOVED these!
We also were sent Annie’s cheddar bunnies snack crackers.  The kids were DYING to try these and devoured them in seconds.  They didn’t stand a chance.

And their bags are packed and ready to go!

Thanks to everyone at SSM and the companies we featured here today
for sending us these delicious goodies!

We’ve got a few more products left to feature and they’ll be here on Shaw Avenue soon!

Let’s face it…there are pieces in our closet that we just love.
Love so much that you could just wear all the time.  This dress is one of those for me.  It’s been hanging in my closet for over two years now, and it remains a favorite to this day.  I’ve worn it to recitals, graduations, and countless bridal/baby showers.  It’s definitely a go-to.

A few months ago I wore this amazing dress from the same designer, RysaRuth, and you should definitely go check her out.

One Pot Meals: Beef ‘n Noodles

Hello Love!
I mean, guys, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten so much traffic on a post than I did on the Slow Cooker Cream Cheese Chicken Chili. Food is definitely the way to people’s hearts so I’m sharing my go-to comfort food recipe with you.  This is by far my favorite thing my mom ever made growing up.  I’m not sure where she got this recipe from, but its the BEST!
I usually make this in the crockpot but it can be made on the stovetop too! I find the meat is more tender when it cooks in the crockpot. 🙂
 Beef ‘N Noodles:
1 package beef stew tips (browned)
Fill 1/2 your pot with water and add about 4-5 beef bouillon cubes
1 package dry french onion soup mix
1 package “No Yolks” noodles. I actually prefer the “Broad” noodles instead of the “Dumpling”
1 stick of butter
Brown your meat and add it to the water and cubes. Add in the dry soup mix and let this cook all day on low, or simmer about 45 minutes on your stove stop. Add in the noodles and stick of butter about 45 minutes before you’re ready to eat and you’re DONE!
Super easy & DELISH! Serve it up with some bread and go to town!
Your family will LOVE IT!

Turkish Towels

Turkish Towels 150 150 Jenn Pennell
I’m sure by now you’ve been seeing these beautiful Turkish towels everywhere.  They’re all over Etsy and after Angela Lanter had one in FL a few weeks ago, I had to have one!
The sweet folks over at Peshtemalsandmore sent one my way and I knew as soon as I took it out of the box that it was going to be amazing!

It’s super soft and terry cloth on the opposite side.
Tootie loved it so much that she stole it from me! Brat!
Visit them on their website here or at their Etsy page here!

Thanks Jeff for gifting us this gorgeous towel!
